Alice Ward-Allen

Painting has always been an important part of Alice’s life. During 2012 she placed first in the Youth category at the Franklin Arts Festival, as well as being selected to partake in the Te Tuhi Youth Art Award. Alice completed a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Zoology at the University of Otago and has since worked as an environmental educator for BLAKE, educating students across Auckland, Northland and the Bay of Plenty about the importance of our ocean using virtual reality. Alice combines her science study and work as a science communicator with her passion for art, to educate people about our environment through creative work.
