Kāhu Gill | Ngāti Kahungunu

Kāhu Gill (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Porou, Rongowhakaata) is an interdisciplinary artist and maker, using both traditional and digital media. She was raised in Tāmaki Makaurau, with Tīkapa Moana as a constant backdrop to her life; a cherished upbringing spent roaming the dunes, mudflats and wetlands, pursuing the wānanga of the flora and fauna. Kāhu’s detailed, colourful paintings reflect her vivid connection to the whenua and our harbour’s history.
