Earth Hour 2022 is an amazing opportunity for millions of people around the world to come together to help shape a better future. We are asking New Zealand to go “lights off” from 8:30pm – 9:30pm on 26th March.
Since 2007 and taking place in over 190 countries, Earth Hour has grown into one of the world’s largest grassroots movements for the environment with its well-known symbolic “lights-off”.
This year, Earth Hour is taking place on March 26 at 8:30pm and we would love you to join us by turning your lights off for one hour!
Earth Hour is the chance for your family, your community and your organisation to show that you care about the immense challenges facing our planet – and are willing to take action by turning off your lights.
If you are in a position to do so, we would greatly appreciate you making a donation to WWF-New Zealand here or by texting WHALE to 2923 to donate $3 to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)-NZ.
Auckland’s Sky Tower and Harbour Bridge and The Lightship are joining thousands of the world’s landmarks by going “lights off” and we’d love you at home to join the movement too by taking part in Earth Hour on Saturday 26th March at 8:30pm.
Together, it’s possible to secure a healthy and sustainable future for all.
