Always fancied yourself as an art lover? Visit Toi Onehunga to view beautiful work of all shapes and sizes from a diverse range of talented local artists – or even buy a piece of original art to take home.
Toi Onehunga is a free pop-up art gallery curated by Auckland artist Isaac Trebilco, whose work features as part of WWF-New Zealand’s ‘Whale Tale’ 2022 immersive public art trail.
Isaac’s Whale Tale – entitled ‘Our Hands’ – is located near Toi Onehunga on Onehunga Mall. And from 7-13 March, Toi Onehunga will also be home to a ‘migrating’ Whale Tale – ‘Mauri’, painted by Monty Collins.
Make a day of it and see what Onehunga has to offer, from the gallery and Whale Tales through to shopping to suit all tastes and top-quality cuisine.
Auckland’s #1 cocktail bar The Bramble is also supporting WWF Whale Tales 2022 with a $1 donation for every purchase of an incredible cocktail inspired by Isaac’s
beautiful Whale Tale.
Toi Onehunga is free and open to the public at 204 Onehunga Mall from 2-27 March 2022 on Wednesdays/Thursdays (12pm- 4pm), Fridays (12pm-6pm) and weekends (10am-4pm).
Toi Onehunga is bought to you by the Onehunga Business Association, and funded by the NZ Government, through the Local Activation Programme delivered by Auckland Unlimited. www.aucklandnz.com/reactivate
