Albert-Eden Local Board
The Albert-Eden Local Board is one of the 21 local boards across Auckland.
There are 8 board members elected to represent people in the local area and provide governance at the local level within Auckland Council on local issues, activities and services.
The area is named after two of our volcanic cones – Ōwairaka / Te Ahikā Roa o Raka / Mount Albert and Maungawhau / Mount Eden.
The Albert-Eden Local Board area is named after two of our volcanic cones – Ōwairaka / Te Ahikā Roa o Raka / Mount Albert, and Maungawhau / Mount Eden and includes the suburbs of Pt Chevalier, Waterview, Mt Albert, Mt Eden, Kingsland, Balmoral, Epsom, Greenlane, Greenwoods Corner, Sandringham, Owairaka, Eden Terrace and Western Springs. The local board’s strategic three-year plan outlines the community’s priorities and guides the board’s decision making. In the plan for 2021/2022 the board will focus on building strong communities, fund a range of programmes tailored to the needs of local communities and support volunteers and groups in protecting our natural environment
